The expansion of the Noguchi Museum fuses the art and culture of Dumbo to create an experiential community space that unfolds for visitors as it is perceived through each individual’s movement through space and time. This new Noguchi Museum Annex incorporates the existing old building
to create an innovated community space. The new museum achieve a dynamic and supportive relationship between art and architecture. The entire community space is programmed according to the
circulation rather than vis versa. The organic forms of the design reflects the visual language of many Noguchi’s sculptures.
